How to migrate SAP R/3 47x200 from Microsoft SQL Server to maxDB

Hello,
I've made the decision to move my SAP installation from Microsoft SQL Server
to maxDB. Therefore I would appreciate any tipp that might help for a clean
and fast migration, for example: which book(s) should I read, which web site
will provide helpful hints, which classroom training or eTraining might be
reasonable to attend, etc.

Please read at first http://service.sap.com/osdbmigration including all
subsections. You find a guide to the heterogeneous system copy in
http://service.sap.com/instguides. For 6.20 based systems use
http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700002645032002E/syscopy620_140803.pdf.

If you want support for your migration from SAP, you must have:
1. a consultant who is certified for OS/DB Migration
2. for productive systems: the OS/DB Migration Check

this sounds like a major operation. May I ask why you decided to do
that? Of course, I'm thinking along the lines of "never touch a
running system"...
